In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline focuses on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who finish the adventure will receive an special katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
